Doctoral Edge Services (“we”, “us”) is based in Bhopal, India. This policy explains what information this website handles, why, and the rights you have under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What the calculator does with your information

The sample size calculator runs entirely in your web browser. The topic, values and references you type are not sent to us. They are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device, so your work is still there when you return. You can remove them at any time by clearing this website's data in your browser settings.

Information we receive

• When you email us: your email address and your message. We use them only to reply to you.
• When you visit the website: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and protect the website from attacks.
• Visit counts: if we turn on Cloudflare Web Analytics, we see totals such as the number of visits and the pages viewed, not information about you as an individual.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal data.
• We do not use advertising trackers.
• We do not need patient data. Please never enter patient names or any detail that could identify a patient.

How long we keep information

We keep emails for up to 12 months after our conversation ends, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your rights

You may ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct or complete it, or to erase it. You may also nominate another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to do so. To make a request, write to our grievance officer. We will reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
